Up next for Piyush Mishra: a fictional autobiography!

Piyush Mishra wears various hats, including actor, singer, writer, and lyricist. He will soon release his book to give followers a look into additional aspects of his life. The book has been turned into a novel with the title Hamlet Kabhi Bombay Nahi Gaya urf Tumhari Aukaat Kya Hai Piyush Mishra. It is filled with both true stories and made-up ones.

"The lives of those who work in the film industry are quite interesting to the public. Strangely, there are a lot of inquiries people have about me, and my book will provide the answers," he informs us.

Mishra continues by elaborating on why he chose this style of writing: "People typically only write the morally upright portions [of their autobiographies]. When people make superficial arguments, I find it to be quite weird. I so balanced my autobiography by including both reality and imagination. There will be some fiction and excerpts from my life. Writing only about oneself is pointless, what's the point? It will become terribly dull.

The 59-year-old, who has written music and dialogue for numerous movies, including the recently released Shamshera, claims that he still likes working with a pen and paper despite the advancement of technology.

"I continue to write by hand. I wrote my 250-sheet draught entirely by hand. I don't love the process until and unless I write, cut, and rewrite it," he continues.

The third season of Illegal will be Mishra's next project after filming the OTT series Anarchy. "I shall resume my plays Wo Ab Bhi Pukarta Hai and Gagan Damama Bajyo on Bhagat Singh," he says. "I will be travelling Europe with my band, Ballimaaraan."

"I am making relatively few films these days," Mishra continues. Although it is my work, cinema has never been my passion. You still get a lot of money from it! If you're wondering what I'm doing right now, I'm travelling to small towns, planning a band tour of Europe, writing an autobiography novel, resuming my theatre career, acting in various OTT series, mingling with people, and interacting with children.

He acknowledges that he once went to the movies with Dil Se because of his curiosity (1998). "Since I've been in the theatre (since 1979), people were curious in the glitz, the females signing autographs, and other such things. But I've already done it! I want to do things now that I want to.

Young people, in the opinion of the dialogue writers for movies like Ghajini and Agneepath (2012), need to be shown the right path. "When I wrote Arambh hai prachanda (Gulaal), I believed it would fly over the students' heads, but it was adored and is being performed on campus. They have instant access to everything, therefore we must provide them with high-quality content to prevent them from becoming lost.
